Ship / arrival: Franziska, Bremen to Galveston, 13 May - 4 July 1855,
  with Burkli's group, on the advice of his friend Jacob Nussbaumer
  (passenger #22). Cordillot gives the sailing as April 12 and the colony
  arrival July 5 -- the manifest corrects the sailing; July 4-5 is the
  Galveston landing.

Post-colony
  - After the dissolution, a farrier (marechal-ferrant) in the country at
    Mountain Creek; Sandell: moved there with John Goetsels and started a
    ranch
  - Seeing what Dallas's growth offered, went into wholesale grocery in
    association with the Henri brothers, Knoepfli and Boll; Sandell puts
    the grocery on Olive Street and his house at 2020 Bryan Street
  - Reinvested the profits in downtown lots that rapidly became very
    valuable
  - Lived in Dallas until his death

Notes
  Frick is the fourth partner of the Swiss grocery-and-meat firm (with
  Boll, Knoepfli and the Henris) and the one whose Dallas fortune
  Cordillot describes most plainly: a blacksmith who bought city lots.
  Nussbaumer recruited him; the Lexington and the Franziska brought the
  same Zurich circle in two ships.
